Distance: 25km(339km), 1350m (4429ft) ascent, 1650m (5413ft) descent

I’m not sure how they managed it but the parents somehow convinced our friend, Alistair, to come walking with us – on his time off. Apparently he was not phased by the six hour flight and six hour traffic jam that stood between him and our little mountain adventure. He joined us for the next two days and armed with trainers and a substantial bag of dates to aid our flagging spirits, the ten hours were easily conquered. The actual walking was the usual sweaty affair with undulating hills and ascent that makes you want to die. Overall, a tremendous day.
