Day 23: Larche to Bousieyas

A Gallivanting Girl

Thursday 1st August
Distance: 21km(450km), 1240m (4070ft) ascent, 1035m (3395ft) descent

Today we passed some aged war barracks and descended a grassy slope into Bouseiyas – a joyous occasion. Arriving at the Bouseiyas gite however its outer shell left us feeling less than optimistic. Thankfully though its appearance was deceiving and the food and pillows (ermegerd the pillows!) were incredible. Our German friends (Cathy and Frits) and Aussie (John) also appeared as it was the only refuge, despite having considered camping on first sighting.
