29.1 km (813.1 km)
We knew the rain was on its way so today started out in full waterproofs, or to be more exact Dan started off in his lovely guaranteed to be dry Arctery’x waterproofs and I was in my billowing poncho. After a couple of hours we found a cafe and dripped in to find a huddle of soggy peregrinos already at the bar. The day continued in the same vein but it was only wet, no windy. I reckon I would need weights or tent pegs in the wind. Being with someone else in the rain with no visibility is so much easier than being alone and the day passed quickly. We arrived at Pazo Bendoiro remarkably dry and very relived that we have given up on albergues on this trip as once again the accommodation is fabulous.
I have just asked Dan if he could think of anything interesting that happened today and his response was ‘well we had a jamon sandwich’ – I think it’s fair to say nothing of note happened to us today! Two more days to go…
