I booked a Pension for Arzúa, given its the spot where a few caminos merge and I didn’t want to end up searching for a bed but talking to many others I decided that maybe it would be better to go further than Arzúa to make tomorrow shorter. There was much indecision until I discovered that my towel had been stolen from the washing line 😱 therefore I had no option but to stay in the Pension, or go and find a new towel.
Today was a quick 22km, the weather was good; cool and dry and now it’s an early bed before the final 40k. Last time I walked the last day with Katharina, a German girl I’d met along the Way, having walked alone every other day. This year I’ll walk into Santiago alone, having spent a much more sociable month with many ‘pilgrims’. This time tomorrow it’ll be over, well at least until next time 😊
